@TinyCO2 quite simply you broke the rules first, so of course I stopped playing.

Nov 4, 2019 at 7:21 PM Stewgreen points out @TinyCO2 isn't following the rules of debate
That one doesn't say "Why wouldn't you believe X is true ?
One provides evidence that X is true

Nov 4, 2019 at 8:24 PM | TinyCO2
says "stewgreen, I don't follow rules if I don't want to. You never answer questions that you don't want to either"
And then asks a load of questions
of the form "Why wouldn't you believe X is true ?

"stewgreen, I just asked a load of questions and you didn't answer any of them LOL."

Yes of course cos I didn't answer those questions YOU weren't following the rules of debate
It is not up to me to go on a wild goose chase . It's up to you to provide the evidence to back your claims.

stewgreen, I just asked a load of questions and you didn't answer any of them LOL.

Robert Swan, the behaviour of Tory MPs is certainly not guaranteed but a lot of the worst and highest profile offenders are gone. Boris has proved that he can and will sack people. The WA is likely to pass. The Tories have nowhere to go politically unless they finalise Brexit. Except

M Courtney, it's a point I've recognised that if faced with a Labour/SNP/Green alliance government then the Lib Dems and the Tories could form a pact. The Tories might offer the Lib Dems a second referendum. One way or another Brexit would probably be dead if the Tories don't win outright.

Tuesday 12:18pm Radio 4
Call You And Yours: Are you struggling to keep up with action on the environment?
Do you think that small actions will help the planet or are we unlikely to make a difference at a personal level?
A new survey suggests that climate change is leading to rows, as younger people pressure others in their households to do more.

They're inspired by environmental campaigners and television programmes like Seven Worlds: One Planet.
They want their families to fly less, use less plastic, abandon the car and increase recycling.

But research from Friends of the Earth suggests there's a disconnect between the behaviours people think will have a positive impact on the planet and the ones that will actually make the biggest difference.
(Wow FoE are right there)
Are the small actions we're being urged to take for the environment having any effect?
Are they worth falling out over?

Let us know what your experiences have been. Are you struggling to keep up with action on the environment?
Email us: youandyours@bbc.co.uk include a phone number so we can call you back.
Or call us on 03700 100 444 after 1100 on Tuesday.

@GC That's misrepresentation :
The "Have you stopped beating your wife ?" trope

I can talk to anyone about anything
but there is little in engaging with people when they are in disingenuous debate mode
..It just winds them up more cos they hear the words they imagine instead.

Green Twitter is a bit triggered
‘RyanAir is the greener choice’....good grief🙄#R4Today

Actually O'leary is reasonable
#1 They creates lots of CO2 by having cheap flights

#2 but compared to snob airlines they are cramming on twice the passengers per tonne of fuel
so per passenger Km a RyanAir tourist is greener, than the posh people flying posh airlines

R4 Y&Y Tim Johnson Air awareness campaigner was on
but somehow the BBC presenter was prepared
He did his "Greta Effect" speech "passenger numbers actually fell by 5%, rail rose by 8%"
Presenter : "Em that was only in Sweden, we know in Europe there were 6% MORE passengers"

He also said "More people flew on a UK passport, than a US or China passport"
Hmm that's PR BS cos we are a small country so you need a passport to fly whereas most US and China people miles are done within that country.

He claimed that road transport is not that important saying that it has eco fuel whereas panes don't and are not likely to have soon.

"I would ask you to substantiate that, .... but don't bother. I know it's not true
Good luck

You never explained all of Tommy Robinson's lies and your endless repetition of them.

Is that what you are still doing?

http://joannenova.com.au/2019/11/japan-the-precautionary-principle-killed-more-people-than-the-fukushima-nuclear-disaster/

"The panicked closure of nuclear power in Japan pushed electricity prices up. The UN agrees that no people died from radiation in the Fukushima event, but the frenzied over-evacuation killed up to 2,000 people. After that, higher electricity prices led to at least 1280 extra deaths in the 21 largest cities. That translates into 4,500 deaths if the mortality rate was similar across the rest of the country."

Will St Greta have a Happy Christmas, wherever she is?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-50297029

"The United States has formally notified the United Nations of its intention to withdraw from the Paris Agreement.

The notification begins a one-year process of exiting the global climate change accord, culminating the day after the 2020 US election.

The agreement brought together 188 nations to combat climate change."

stewgreen @8:31pm

The EA + flooding?

It's supposedly a competence - but it is a competence that collapses to a pretense supported by arrogance and vociferous bluster when challenged - they have screwed up schemes across the country. In the flood risk assessments there's actually a climate change section in the reports that allows them to twist the numbers arbitrarily. They are a near completely dysfunctional shower.
