And it's worse
cos although the BBC page is titled Science and Environment
You only see that title in the UK
The international version omits the word "Environment"
The page headline is just "SCIENCE"

Traditional November 5th "Celebrations" should be renamed to reflect John Bercow's attempts to destroy Parliament.

" .. so why does the Greta have to be physically present at Madrid?

Her financiers want a return on their investment in Public Relations.

As Trump has dumped the Paris fiasco down a coalmine, St Greta could always try a camp-out on The White House Lawn. She would then be guaranteed some free board and lodging care of US Taxpayers.

The traditional time for crossing the Atlantic to the Americas has always been autumn, after the hurricane season. Sailing back again before spring is not popular, as cold and unfavourable wet winds prevail. Modern sailing yachts and ships are quite capable of doing it, but it is a greater feat of endurance for the crew than the outward leg.

St Greta may have to ask Trump to extend her Visa to stay in the US. If the Arctic freezes over as normal, she could try walking from Alaska/Canada to Russia over the North Pole, count it as a circumnavigation, and be home for Easter.

AK "I thought climate warriors were issued indulgences to offset their carbon crimes"

Yes, that's usually how they pretend to themselves that they're practicing what they preach. Fundamentally the warmists don't connect their own struggles to how hard it would be for everyone else to cut their CO2. They're convinced that it's business that should be made to make all the cuts. They target oil companies in particular, as if it was those companies burning the stuff. The frustration of the warmist is that governments don't make business develop a CO2 free energy that would let life continue as normal. If only enough people supported them, it could be done... Meanwhile their contribution to cutting CO2 is nagging everyone else.

It's typical and enlightening that St. Greta's plight fails to inform her acolytes that the modern world is utterly dependent upon the use of fossil fuels, even just to get around.
Greens commonly promote use of communication technology to replace international meetings (except for climate meetings), so why does the Greta have to be physically present at Madrid?
I thought climate warriors were issued indulgences to offset their carbon crimes.

"Greta Thunberg marooned as climate conference moves location...across the Atlantic"

https://www.rt.com/news/472608-greta-thunberg-lift-spain/

"Swedish activist Greta Thunberg has once again called for eco-friendly help getting from the US to Spain for a climate conference, but so far she can’t seem to find a ride that meets her unrealistic standards.

“Since Friday afternoon I’ve been traveling east through the beautiful southern states in the USA to get to the east coast and hopefully find a transport to COP25 in Madrid,” she tweeted on Monday, days after she initially asked “if anyone could help me find transport.”

...Sticking by her own rules, Thunberg can’t fly or sail on a carbon-belching cruise liner. So the 16-year-old Swede stuck out a metaphorical thumb on Twitter, begging for a carbon-neutral ride across the Atlantic.

The government of Spain has promised to aid Thunberg in her odyssee, though no concrete plans of how have emerged."

@MH We know the "science & environment" page is really the Green Politics PR page
Out of about 20 items on the page only 2 are not about green issues
