@GC too late for me to think about that
I do know that when you come up against hard reality you don't have to deal with fiddly stats
and that when someone claims horrors you say "show me the bodies" ..there are none from fracking.
And that the lights went out in SA for 6 hours after they decided wind trumps conventional power
..and did not go out the year before that, decade before that, decade before that, etc.

stewgreen, are there any statistics that compare actual county outputs from wind generators, with the total amount of claimed capacity per council, to see if any Counties or Planning Authorities are more gullible than others?

Some interesting statistics could be made available to BBC reporters so they didn't look quite so foolish when comparing made up statistics with real ones, about wind power, especially when the honesty of those opposing fracking can be judged on their support for wind, and whether they are the same people.

Remember 2013
BBC survey suggests support for fracking in north west
3 December 2013

"The poll of 1,941 people indicated 44% of those who know about fracking support it, while 34% are against. The poll found 22% are undecided."
Funny how the BBC are NOT obsessive about banging on about it ..like the way they are about shouting "Controversial"

Doing this on m'y phone so please excuse typos.
I saw something on thé DM online about à predicted global dust storm on Mars. It Saïd previous ones were in 2007, 2001,1994, 1984, 1977 and that there were records going back to 1924. The named years correlate quite well with el mini events of varying strength. Also that they tend to start in the southern hemisphere.
Does anyone know of any research into a correlation? Or is it just a coincidence in the last few years.
