uh ...I made the mistake of scrolling down the Harrabins article >>>> "700,000 fibres released in a single wash" - how many trillions of O2 molcules is he stealing every time he inhales?
Who'd have though MRLP would become the voice of sanity?:
Harra-bin at it again
Clothing brands and retailers should pay a penny on every garment they sell to fund a £35m annual recycling scheme. That's the view of MPs, who say "fast fashion" is a major contributor to greenhouse gases, water pollution, air pollution and over-use of water.
And they urge the government to force clothing manufacturers to pay more towards collecting and recycling the waste they create.
Green campaigners argue the MPs' recommendations are really quite tame.
They're calling for an end to what they regard as the over-consumption of clothes
I saw a couple of religionsts (JWs ?) with pop up signs handing out leaflets and trying to engage shoppers in a town centre yesterday - I really don't see how this is any different.
Your telly tax at work.
It's quite something, really when the official communiques of The Monster Raving Loony Party fail to get any traction because they aren't crazy enough.- they have generously offered the leaving Labour MPs membership though. Seriously -look at their Twitter feed and compare with the output of our present crop o politicians.....

"I am a disillusioned old-Labour supporter. I would like to be able to vote for a party with leaders of the calibre of Atlee, Bevan, Bevin, Callaghan, Healey, Castle et al. I don't see such a party being in place any time soon.

More Labour Defections will follow shortly, as Labour drop spin, and gain spiv.

Corbyn has a few issues. US Democrats are determined to create bigger problems for their next Presidential Candidates to fight over.

"Internal combustion cars, trucks, buses, trains and boats would be replaced with electric versions, or eradicated. Airplanes would be replaced by high-speed rail. And every house and building in America would be gutted, rebuilt or retrofitted with “state of the art efficiency” technologies. That’s for starters."
For those Democrats and Climate Scientists used to flying over the Atlantic, how long will it take by train via the Trans Siberian Railway and a quick paddle across the Bering Straits to Alaska?
As regards plastic bottle litter
95% of us put litter in the correct bin then it goes into the correct waste route
It's the 5% LITTER LOUTS that are the problem
So solutions need to be focused on the LOUTS
..not on inconveniencing the 95% who're already dealing with litter properly
The jailed MP has an appeal this week
everyone is hoping sentence will be increased
"Her excuse is ..my brother is the bad guy he made me do it "

Vince Cable tweets:
"The Liberal Democrats are open to working with like-minded groups and individuals in order to give the people the final say on Brexit, with the option to remain in the EU. We will be engaging in talks to progress both that campaign and a wider political agenda"
At least Ed Davey is honest - his tweet in response to the 7 resignations:
"Very brave decision from @TheIndGroup. We will work with like-minded MPs to stop Brexit & achieve our wider shared political agenda".
Stopping us leaving the EU is the agenda - not giving the people the opportunity to "think again" or have their say on the Withdrawal Agreement.
