Falkirk Gas Bills
Feb 5, 2020 at 8:20 PM Mark Hodgson

"The eco boilers that cost families £5K a year: As Ofgem reveals plans to ban all gas boilers... the cautionary tale of a 'green' energy deal gone badly wrong
Falkirk Council installed eco-friendly boilers in around 900 council properties

Falkirk is held by the SNP. Falkirk is where Labour's Karie Murphy was supposed to be elected. All this with the mounting excitement over COP 26 in Glasgow.

I have not been to China but it is clear that the Chinese cram a lot of high tech, with a lot of low tech, into small spaces, with high density human occupation and unregulated animal husbandry and slaughter. Who knows what the peeking duck may have witnessed?

China was criticised for allowing SARS to develop/spread without admitting anything or taking any action. This time, the Chinese have done as much as possible, most of which would have been impossible in the UK, EU, US for example.

This is now the scenario that Malthusian have dreamed of, Sci Fi has written about, and academics will study. The BBC/Guardian will link it to Global Warming as they have some cross contamination issues themselves

Obviously members of the Stockholm lefty right-on woke dinner party circuit are hoping to get their invites to Thunberg sponsored soirees in future - just nauseating.

iirc though the Peace Prize is administered by the Norwegians? - who'll possibly give it posthumously to major general Soleimani.

anyway Greta's too white.

I see Euro-EV chargers IONITY have hiked the price of their roadside electrons to x5 what they were yesterday....

Mann is likely to have a writty fit if the glove puppet gets a Nobel

https://wattsupwiththat.com/2020/02/04/swedish-lawmakers-nominate-climate-activist-greta-thunberg-for-a-nobel-peace-prize/

"Swedish lawmakers nominated activist Greta Thunberg for a Nobel Peace Prize Monday in the belief that the teenager will help save the Paris climate agreement.

Thunberg “worked hard to make politicians open their eyes to the climate crisis,” Jens Holm and Hakan Svenneling, both members of Sweden’s Left Party, told the Associated Press. They believe the 17-year-old activist’s work prodding officials to take the deal seriously is worth the prize."

Well the Arabs do love their camels... after you with the mind bleach charly.

I'm not sure that I've read how it's caught. Maybe baby camels suffer from hay fever? Lots of coughing and sneezing. Human kids are designated 'super spreaders'.

Twitter is pushing this at me
"The world should pay attention to this 300-year-old climate lesson
The climate crisis is an especially intense and relatively recent problem, but we’ve been dealing with versions of it for centuries. "
( That leads to an article with a different title : A Climate Change Lesson from Scotland's Little Ice Age
Countries will be more resilient if they stick together
by Tatiana Schlossberg)

Bloomberg Opinion @bopinion Feb 4
One potential consequence of Brexit is that Scotland could leave the U.K.
This would end a 313-year-old union that began in part because of Scotland’s suffering during the Little Ice Age
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿The story starts in Scotland, 1695.

❄️Already, much of the Northern Hemisphere was shivering its way through the so-called Little Ice Age, which lasted from about 1450 to 1850 http://trib.al/XZebNhO
The decade from 1695 to 1705 is Scotland’s coldest in the last 800 years, and the consequences were dire:

🌾Crop failure
📉Population loss of 10-15%
🇵🇦A failed colony in Panama, which cost 2,000 lives and about a third of Scotland’s wealth http://trib.al/XZebNhO

We take the stability of our natural world for granted, but it is always changing, both on its own and in response to how we scramble time — burning ancient fuels to melt ancient ice to alter our future.

We’re already seeing the imprint of the climate crisis on events that may otherwise seem unrelated to it: Mass migration to Europe following the Arab Spring and the Syrian Civil War can be attributed in part to climate change. The arrival of immigrants in Europe has often been met with hostility, and has triggered political changes — influencing *the rise of right-wing populism* on the continent as well as in the British Isles.

We may be able to change the climate, but we should remember that the climate changes us, too.

"MERS jumps directly from camels (mostly young ones) to humans "

What would these humans be doing to catch something from "young" camels?

Where's the mind bleach?

Mark H

>"Nothing is safe from the gaze of the eco-warriors"

Essentially, anything most people like becomes the target, incessantly.

This is so said warriors can stay nagging in your face. It's quite deliberate.
