At first I thought it was some more scary Coronavirus stuff..... but the fate of used wind turbine blades is attracting some attention...

I witnessed blade patching in action at the Eemshaven Energy Park some months back - not a task for the faint hearted or those wary of heights.... I then turned the binoculars onto the other blades and a surprising number were patched or showing signs of erosion.

The worn blades still have considerable structural strength - one might expect that they be recycled into roof trusses or similar - but hey-ho .... out of sight is out of mind.

She was the best candidate Corbyn could trust to be Shadow Home Secretary, based on her size, rather than her feminity or ethnicity. This is not bullying, because I think she weighs more than me.

Diane Abbott was on cracking Diane Abbott form - suggesting that an ex army guy couldn't possibly be bullied so the claims against Bercow couldn't be true.

"Giving John Bercow a peerage would be a scandal that parliament would struggle to live down, according to the man accusing the former Speaker of bullying and explosive behaviour.

Lt Gen David Leakey, who served in the role of Black Rod for seven years, told the BBC that Bercow’s nomination for a peerage by the Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, was inappropriate because of his behaviour towards staff members.

Bercow vehemently denies he bullied Leakey, claiming the pair did not work closely together and questioning the timing of him making the allegations."
