I suggest we preserve large parts of the 21st century buildings and lifestyle until we can be sure we won't be reverting to some previous time because of alarmist fantasies.

Blowing up coal fired power stations to replace them with things that require the wind to blow is returning us to the Dark Ages before the Medieval Warm Period.

Cities of London and Westminster MP Nickie Aiken reveals on LBC that Extinction Rebellion
left 20 TONNES of rubbish on the streets during their protests.
... I can believe it, but the thread has no evidence so it is full of XR saying "Oh no we didn't"

Tesla has shades of the Woodford Fund or Madoff.. The hottest thing and then everyone realises that there's no real profit and it all falls apart.

Gas powered boats?

Some Scots are comparing the LNG ferry fiasco to the Vietnamese built ferry that has just arrived in Orkney....

The difference being that the SNP government oversaw (and is still fouling up) the LNG project ....

The Bristol Harbour hydrogen ferry fiasco comes to mind.... £300k +++ sunk by the dopes at Bristol Council. The failed project is being slowly memory holed as is much of the fanboy/PR drivel that surrounded it..... The Hydrogenesis is sitting growing algae in Bristol Docks with a "For Sale"sticker fading away on it. £2000 a day in operation.... and about 20 punters...

LBC now anti-XR stuff
about how they left 6 tonnes of rubbish in Trafalgar Square
Davis Blunkett is talking about anarchosyndicalist groups being a danger and we need special laws

It's part of Nick Ferraris campaign against such paralysing demos

If they will work with liquefied gas and diesel, they will also run on Shale Gas. Scotland should frack on.

"Trees to be cleared to preserve Somerset Iron Age fort site"

Iron Age Man presumably used iron tools to cut down trees to clear the site and build the Fort in the first place. The local tree preservationists will be living in more modern housing built on land that was forest once.

I am all for preservation of historical sites, but how should people today choose which historical era to recreate and preserve?

Apparently:

1 Oxford University was asked by the student body to disinvest in Petrochemicals. The management thought that would take time and not be very effective. Instead, the management offered to turn off the heating.

2 Someone has offered to exchange the new 50p for a 20p to help remainers feel they never left.
