Virgin are inviting UK Immigration and Passport Control to scrutinise certain Virgin flight arrivals more carefully, and slowly. It could make Virgin an unpopular choice for regular return ticket purchasers.

Apparently smuggling stuff, things, and bits and pieces was a very lucrative game for both sides of the Irish Border, sometimes with fatal consequences.

Could the Isle of Man profit from tax avoidance schemes that may benefit the common man, not just the super rich, and act as being halfway between two unknown entities?

Watching someone's News on TV at lunchtime and it appears that someone has realised that the UK and Eire have a sea border as well as a land one. They also discovered that a large amount of freight between the EU and Eire passes through the UK. A potential problem I've been wondering about for quite a while, The obvious route EU to Eire for freight is via a Dutch/Belgian/French channel port and via Holyhead (not ignoring Cherbourg and Santander). Not beyond human ingenuity to overcome but something politicians on all sides can spend a lot of time arguing over.
