When owners secure their boats/yachts for the winter, they should always check there are no rats on board first.
Once they have eaten through the packets of forgotten about, emergency dried rice and pasta, they develop an appetite for electrical insulation.
Re: Camcon
Initial thought: big change from existing VVT cams.
I will review and post later

Good point GolfCharlie, but herein ALL Russians are Persil white, and the West (excepting Trump) is misinformation central.
Misrepresentation distortion and false narratives again AK. You are the only one posting that assertion whilst claiming others wrote it.

the 2 gennies are a minimum of 200kVA apiece I suspect (mebbe more judging by the size of the 3ph cables) and the bunded fuel bowser / tank is 1000L - having looked at the site I'd expect at least another two similar setups located on site + those expensive executive marquees are usually heated with propane - I would expect the prominent red bottles to be cloaked in some white PVC covers......

waht you need to damage the cables is goats - but rats for some reason occasionally develop an appetite for rubber insulation.
@Rhoda it said "there is no mechanical link to the crank,"
"Intelligent Valve Actuation" IVA www.camcon-automotive.com
Ah it says this
"IVA power consumption (including alternator efficiency) is lower than the parasitic losses of a conventional camshaft driven valvetrain in the majority of operating points"
15% ?
"Running engine tests indicate up to 6% steady state reductions in carbon dioxide production with a further 7-9% expected from improved combustion control during transients. "

Looking at that video, I am appalled by the mass of exposed trailing electric cables. A small squirrel could chew on them and choke on the insulation. I hope Greenpeace will start demonstrating immediately, and remove the cables.

Brilliant!
If we had the claimed power output, diesel consumption and spare/reserve capacity, some real estimates could be done on the Carbon Footprint.

Free-Valve which requires pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical control - way too complex for OEMs. Worse than existing mechanical or electro-mechanical VVT as too many points of failure.
Not Desmo either.
It's like putting hi-tech cladding on old buildings...
