I'm reading that police + fire brigade have installed smoke alarms in Richard Osborn-Brooks' house after threats to burn it down.

The police are doing themselves no favours in the handling of this business - arrests of Daily Mail commenters are surely not far off.

Supertroll

I thought the Mary River Turtle was going to regale readers with a devastating insightful critique of Brexit and the moral bankruptcy of the right with a guide to selecting a tasteful nose piercing that doesn't snag on kelp fronds.

Gwen. Most surprised that you have yet to mention the Mary River turtle with its green mohican and its surprising ability to breath through its genitals. But then you probably haven't read today's Guardian and seen its picture.

Fred Pearce is not always wrong
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/mar/15/fracking-monster-greens-must-embrace

But he does place his faith in Green rubbish
https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2010/feb/01/climate-emails-sceptics
Fred Pearce Mon 1 Feb 2010

How the 'climategate' scandal is bogus and based on climate sceptics' lies

"Claims based on email soundbites are demonstrably false – there is manifestly no evidence of clandestine data manipulation
Almost all the media and political discussion about the hacked climate emails has been based on brief soundbites publicised by professional sceptics and their blogs. In many cases, these have been taken out of context and twisted to mean something they were never intended to.

Elizabeth May, veteran head of the Canadian Green party claims to have read all the emails and declared: "How dare the world's media fall into the trap set by contrarian propagandists without reading the whole set?" "

It is curious that Fred Pearce states that Elizabeth May CLAIMS to have read all the E-Mails. Why the caveat?

Environmentalist: ‘Xenophobic’ Concerns About Knotweed, Grey Squirrels

A consultant for New Scientist magazine, Fred Pearce argues that foreign flora and fauna are being “demonised” unfairly while the problematic species which are native to Britain are given a free pass.

Speaking ahead of a planned talk at Edinburgh Science Festival on the topic, Pearce decried the language used to describe “invasive species” as “very xenophobic”, stating it “suggests that anything foreign is bad”.

Labour attacks Boris Johnson for Congratulating Hungary’s ‘Islamophobic’ Orban

Senior Labour Party figures have attacked the Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson for congratulating conservative Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on winning the Hungarian election, claiming he is “Islamophobic” as well as against women and LGBT people

Khan Celebrates as London District Bans Pro-Life Groups Helping Women

Radical feminist group Sister Supporter has won a fight to ban people praying and offering help to women near abortion clinics in North London, claiming it is “just the beginning” of outlawing pro-life direct action across the UK.

Pro-life groups say their free speech has been restricted and they merely aim to offer women help. London Mayor Sadiq Khan, however, welcomed the ban, accusing them of “deliberately target[ing] women for harassment”

Hillary Clinton Meddles in Brexit Again, Claims Leaving EU Will Lead to Violence

Failed U.S. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has again intervened in the Brexit process, praising the European Union (EU) and claiming the peace in Northern Ireland is jeopardized by the UK’s divorce from the bloc.

Clinton, who made her opposition to Brexit known during her presidential campaign, claimed that border checks in Ireland would be an “enormous setback” – implicitly backing the UK staying tied to many of bloc’s rules inside the Single Market and Customs Union

imho Hellary is inciting violence by proclaiming it will happen. Lock her up.
