Gwen. I believe the Turtle's rudey bits are a sort of aqualung. One imagines sexual congress leaves the turtles out of breath. The mohican reminds me of Churchill's Westminster temporary hairdo.
Guardian piece on Swedish "electric road".
The Swedes seem to have come up with a method to stop/reduce electrocution - but the durability and actual capacity of the supply for multiple vehicles look to be being swerved.
Given that Sweden is quite sparsely populated the economic case for an extensive roll out looks very thin. Trendy designer passenger pods and vans in town centres look likely - the durability of this test track will be interesting to see.
Sweden’s target of achieving independence from fossil fuel by 2030 requires a 70% reduction in the transport sector.
uhhh ... yeah... how's that going to work?

I suppose there is no evolutionary advantage to being able to breathe through one's own genitals, otherwise everyone would be doing it.
Is it possible that the endangerment finding is a consequence of chest infections being sexually transmitted diseases, or that they confuse themselves with their own emissions?
I'm reading that police + fire brigade have installed smoke alarms in Richard Osborn-Brooks' house after threats to burn it down.
The police are doing themselves no favours in the handling of this business - arrests of Daily Mail commenters are surely not far off.

I thought the Mary River Turtle was going to regale readers with a devastating insightful critique of Brexit and the moral bankruptcy of the right with a guide to selecting a tasteful nose piercing that doesn't snag on kelp fronds.
R4 1pm new just trailed "Are we heading for a new ice age ? What a weakening Gulf Stream will mean"
... since they always predict wrongly ..that means the UK summer will be BBQ
Gwen. Most surprised that you have yet to mention the Mary River turtle with its green mohican and its surprising ability to breath through its genitals. But then you probably haven't read today's Guardian and seen its picture.

Fred Pearce is not always wrong

Fred Pearce Mon 1 Feb 2010
How the 'climategate' scandal is bogus and based on climate sceptics' lies
"Claims based on email soundbites are demonstrably false – there is manifestly no evidence of clandestine data manipulation
Almost all the media and political discussion about the hacked climate emails has been based on brief soundbites publicised by professional sceptics and their blogs. In many cases, these have been taken out of context and twisted to mean something they were never intended to.
Elizabeth May, veteran head of the Canadian Green party claims to have read all the emails and declared: "How dare the world's media fall into the trap set by contrarian propagandists without reading the whole set?" "
It is curious that Fred Pearce states that Elizabeth May CLAIMS to have read all the E-Mails. Why the caveat?
A Volvo hybrid charging in a family drive suddenly burst into flames yesterday.
Last year same happened to a Smart electric also.
