Strangethat the Chris Packham thing in Lincoln didn't make such a big splash
Even BBC local radio tweeted nothing
and local newspapers are not reporting the story.

The question, for me, is whether the MSM have kept away from it because it's rubbish, or whether they have done so because they just don't want to go near any stories that might damage the LibDems.
Or an alternative theory:

No-one wants to fire their big guns before the enemy is engaged.

This isn't a scandal. It's just guilt by association. And that guilt of her husband is more an impression of impropriety than any actual proof that he has been swayed by financial inducements. So if the issue flared up in the media it would soon blow over.

Why would anyone raise the issue now? It would be far more interesting to find the issue behind one of the first few doors of your Advent Calendar.
There's an election coming.

tomo "Google has completely changed its algorithms"

It's almost useless now for any kind of search. News stories vanish without trace (and I'm not talking about politically sensitive stuff). Even detailed search parameters bring up stuff with nothing to do with what I've asked for even if I use the must include conditions. Google used to just keep brining up images if you asked for a new page. Now it stops looking after a set number of pictures. That means if the pictures you're looking for don't have a high enough profile you can't find them.

I can understand the problem, there are just too many items now but stuff that's been deliberately moved up the pecking order means that the rarer stuff is now invisible.

Mailman, here's where not believing you have a soul comes in handy, for that is the price of a ticket on the gravy train.

Rhoda,

The only real question is...how does one get on the bandwagon of all that lovely EU cash???

Rhoda

It is a shame that the old Devil's Kitchen fakecharities.org web site fizzled out since the bluidy things are simply everywhere at the moment.

Mark
I suspect that the list of invitees to the citizen assembly has been prequalified. Having done a few mail-outs over the years, the percentage of responses are usually very, very low. A cynic might suspect that the plants have already got their choice of Birmingham hotel and vegan meals booked.

The Guardian are jumping the gun a bit since the mailshot goes out today....

"Have you been invited to take part in the UK citizens' climate assembly?
We want to hear from some of the 30,000 who have received an invitation from MPs to join the climate emergency discussion"

[Well, I lived in hope, but the odds were always against it, and as I suspected would be the case, the invitation hasn't arrived].

tomo, TI looks like a sock puppet (faux-independent think tank funded by government to promote the policies the government wants but needs justification for) because that is exactly what it is. It would not have those funding sources if it wasn't doing what they want. The surprising thing is what the press did. Rather like Sherlock Holmes' dog in the night time.
