@TinyCO2 The BBC radio has found some space in the schedule for programmes which are not lionising Corbyn, nor demonising Trump

28th Tue 9am Front Row Special - Brexit: The Cultural Response Live with RSA audience (A trailer made it see a very negative sounding prog)
Live on Youtube video and on BBC Radio 4 official page yet "Has the artistic community been at fault for not sufficiently reflecting areas of the country's population? Can art inform politics?"

30th 9am The topic @TinyCO2 mentioned Should the Rich World Pay for Climate Change?

Sixty people from thirty countries join Michael Sandel in a digital studio at Harvard to discuss the philosophical issues underlying the world's response to climate change.

The developed world has caused climate change, belting out greenhouse gases as it became rich (at least, most people think so). But the developing world - huge and growing economies like India and China - is increasingly a big part of the problem.

So who should pay to fix the mess? Is it fair to penalise the developing world as it strives to catch up? Is it acceptable that rich countries be allowed to buy credits, giving them permission to pollute? And is it time to re-think our material aspirations?

Stewgreen. I could provide you with information about particulates in the form of non manmade hydrocarbons in LA, but why should I bother? You'll only dismiss it as hearsay.

Listen to a Guardian Reader Zombie speak
"It's terrible people were misled about £350m for the NHS"
next moment the Grombie says
"I get all my energy from Ecotricity , it's from 100% renewables"
next moment the Grombie says
" you know them fossil fuels, they are massively subsidised"

The voters were misled ..the vote should be done again.
.....................I'm talking about the parliamentry vote for the Climate Act

@Golf this story came up yesterday Federal Lab Forced To Close After ‘Disturbing’ Data Manipulation June 23/2016

The inorganic section of the U.S. Geological Survey’s (USGS) Energy Geochemistry Laboratory in Lakewood, Colo. manipulated data on a variety of topics – including many related to the environment – from 1996 to 2014. The manipulation was caught in 2008, but continued another six years.
.
“It’s astounding that we spend $108 million on manipulated research and then the far-reaching effects that that would have,” Rep. Bruce Westerman said at a House Natural Resources subcommittee hearing
.....
Westerman also highlighted an interview the IG withheld from its report.
“Tell me what you want and I will get it for you. What we do is like magic,” a former USGS official told auditors a former employee linked to the manipulation would say, according to Westerman.
The bias was the opposite of bias towards "green"
"The research topics that faced data manipulation – including uranium in the environment, health effects of energy resources, and U.S. coal resources and reserves"
followup story Federal Lab Ignored Environmental Data Manipulation For YEARS 8th July
A USGS analyst resigned while under investigation for data manipulation from 1996 to 2008, but another analyst continued that distortion until 2014. But agency officials learned data was manipulated as early as 2004 when scientists found “test results did not make sense” and “were not accurate,” according to a Department of the Interior inspector general (IG) audit published 11 years later

Re : heatwave, how many BHer's have made it out of their heat shelters alive ? Given that the NHS warning (an opinion) is that the excess deaths kick-in at 24C

What about the idea of shutters ?
Cos sure on Monday the room that I use, which in the attic sure heated up and was still warm at night, but when I went down to the garden or street in the afternoon it was much cooler. (we had cloud in the sky all the time)

And Re :particulates. when i went for a run Monday evening, it wan't sweltering, but I noticed something, that yes we had a a fair amount of clouds but a low yellow haze was visible in the sky. this made be realise that since there is a large amount of grain harvesting going on around this region, there will be yellow particulates in the air ..and I wonder if the actual temp here was lower than where you guys here.
And then on Tuesday when the rest of the country had thunderstorms we had no rain,
Wednesday was warmish, but by 7pm I needed a jacket
So that is Monday, Tue, Wed as the only days for a month which not had rain.

I still want to have info about such natural/agricultural particulates compared to diesel..as it seems to me that diesel is just assumed to be the harmful one.

Any chance that Climate Scientists could get a life time ban, and all of their records annulled if they have used Performance Enhancing Software?

The fact that some Governments have taken an active role in covering up the abuse, and prevented independent testing is a scandal. It makes a mockery of the UN's IPCC, and all of the science it depends on.

Stewgreen,

The VERY clear difference is that the Jews CONDEMN the very rare instances of Israeli acts of terrorism while the Palestinians not only glorify their terrorists but raise monuments to them in their honour (the bigger the atrocity the bigger the monument) and also pay money to their families (which only incites even more terrorism).

Israel has no partner for peace in the Middle East given Hamas, Hesbollah, Fatah, Iran etc are committed to Israels extermination as they view ALL of Israel as Islamic land.

@Pcar I don't see why I should go around in circles defending things I never said : The only thing I said at Jul 18, 2016 at 2:57 PM

@TinyCO2 Like when comparing the Israeli gov vs a Palestinian kid who grew brainwashed in a refugee camp.
2 wrongs don't make a right, but the Israeli gov should higher the higher standards.
Anyway I don't what you mean by "Demonstrates the difference between the two"
But here is a clear difference between the Israeli gov and Israelis and "The Jews"
And one thing is there are home grown Israeli terrorists who the Israeli gov have difficulty keeping under control.
