Inquiry is launched into strain on world's oceans.

Oh which MP ?
Ah the excuse is Mary Creagh is the Wakefield MP

"Many people would be horrified at the emission levels of cruise ships" *
(OK flight and cruise is more CO2, but I can't name a cruise line that isn't taking vast reduction measures"
eg connecting to leccy mains whilst in port.

"Sea is the last great unregulated space"
Is that true Golf ?

@MaryCreaghMP
Today @CommonsEAC has launched a new inquiry into the future of our ocean

Arrive at your GreenBlob job..

Arrive at your GreenBlob .. retweet the BBC Bloomberg story
... a twitter search on the URL shows masses of people retweeting , most don't even add a comment
Those that do, all praise Bloom and sneer at Trump
..yet strangely universally they have no discussion under them... out of hundreds only 1 tweet has a reply

"Climate change: Michael Bloomberg pledges $4.5m for Paris deal"

That is very nice of him, but $4.5m won't pay for the Jet Fuel that Climate Scientists need to maintain their quality of life.

How many of them flew from the USA to Paris (return) for a single pointless party?

Well, this is nice:

"Climate change: Michael Bloomberg pledges $4.5m for Paris deal"

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-43860590

A very pro-Paris Agreement piece (surprise, surprise) with no discussion whatsoever of the problems within it. Pro-Paris, pro-Bloomberg, anti-Trump, no analysis.

Don't MPs have enough patronage with the appointment of Quango members? Seems strange that the UK lectures nations on democracy whilst having both an unelected second chamber and powerful Quangos and similar bodies over which the public has no input.

Thankfully the days of the Lords being filled with nobilities eldest sons and the commons with their younger siblings or wives have gone, but an unelected second chamber of hereditary peers (mainly Tory supporting) and ex-MPs (of whatever flavour) and cronies still doesn't sound like government by the people's choice.

The House of Lords embarrassed the Government after inflicting a defeat over the Customs Union. If such a defeat in also inflicted by the commons one is forced to consider whether May will continue with her appeasement stance ot simply throw in the turkey completely....and reveal her true colours?

Syria

Germany's Largest Public TV News Broadcaster: Syria Chemical Attack "Most Likely Staged"

A senior correspondent for German state media broadcast ZDF heute stunned his European audience during a report from on the ground in Syria when he gave a straightforward and honest account of his findings while investigating what happened in Douma. The veteran reporter, Uli Gack, interviewed multiple eyewitnesses of the April 7 alleged chemical attack and concluded of the testimonials, "the Douma chemical attack is most likely staged, a great many people here seem very convinced."

It appears that all local Syrians encountered by the German public broadcast reporter were immediately dismissive of the widespread allegation that the Syrian government gassed civilians, which the US, UK, France, and Israel used a pretext for launching missile strikes on Damascus.

.
Beware Of White Helmets Bearing News

The celebrated White Helmets of Oscar fame appeared to have made their own feature film in Duma on the night of the alleged chemical attack...
White Helmets were created in Turkey by James Le Mesurier, a former British MI5 agent. The group has received at least $55 million from the British Foreign Office and $23 million from the U.S. Agency for International Development
...
Doctor Assim Rahaibani told Fisk that he learned from fellow physicians who were on duty at the clinic the night of the attack. Rahaibani said patients were brought in by “jihadi gunmen of Jaish el-Islam [the Army of Islam]” in Duma and that the patients appeared to be “overcome not by gas but by oxygen starvation in the rubbish-filled tunnels and basements in which they lived, on a night of wind and heavy shelling that stirred up a dust storm.”

Surprised? You shouldn't be, UK & USA want Assad gone at any cost, but like Iraq, Libya... no plan for "then what"

Tony "fake WMD" Blair urged UK & USA to attack - a huge reason to not attack.

I'm disappointed Trump seems to have bought a lemon.

Thank you for the correction!

It would be interesting to know what the average annual mileage of a Tesla is, and whether steering failure and battery failure are connected with age and/or mileage

The UK's Fleet News must be getting their depreciation statistics from somewhere:
