Two small, though nice, benefits in NI of "The Troubles / Op Banner":

Police largely ignored speeding etc

Brexit Turncoat News

Fox roasted on Sky News yesterday for betraying Leave voters

Penny Mordaunt Backs May, Slams 'Unhelpful' Mogg

Michael Gove Support Theresa May's deal

Remoaner Wollaston: "Leave lied, we must share our fish." - No, you lie, May has effectively given them away for nothing, CAP Rules too most likely - UK not allowed to compete.

May has also agreed EU will dictate UK Foreign policy - UN Security Seat too?

Free movement - no it's not stopped, simply reclassified similar to UN Global Migrant Compact: Illegal Immigrant Irregular Migrant.

For those not up to speed on Mark's post, don't feel bad - there is an MSM "Do No Report" in action.

We are just weeks away from world leaders signing the United Nation's Global Migrant Compact – an agreement that will see countries lose their ability to control their own immigration laws.

"Illegal Immigrants" = hate speech; they are now "Irregular Migrants" and All are Asylum seekers.

1. What's Really in the UN Migrant Compact

2. What they won't tell you about the UN Global Compact on Migration
....
3. ''Global Compact' will make Europeans minorities in their own lands

4. Donald Trump pulls US out of UN Global Compact on Migration
...
EU Parliament Committee Press Conference

"Criticism of migration will become a criminal offence"

Brexit is pointless if we sign this agreement

Can anyone trust this man... He whines ...Don't sink Brexit ... saying torpedoing Mrs. May's deal could horribly backfire and yoke us to the EU for ever...
Well if you listen to Farage - her rum deal does just that.

I hope that the non political message of les gilets jaunes is not obscured by smoke and flames.

I am pleased to see Macron, representing the EU Elite, looking like an arrogant and out of touch fool.

Will any other French Political Parties acknowledge that Climate Science is a Vote loser, or are they all going to leave clear ground for Le Pen to occupy?

At Paris it seems that the reports of an art gallery on fire (La Musee du jeu de Paume) are incorrect, and that a vehicle was alight outside this building. Several expensive shops have been looted and big department stores evacuated.

Here's a scary Le Monde photo of a half-dozen burning cars: https://images.scribblelive.com/2018/12/1/d5721da4-5ac0-44be-ad3f-1946de8adc1d.jpg

I went a bit far with my Schadenfreude comment earlier. I do like France and the French, but I do dislike the Franco-German assumption that they are the arbiters of what's good for the whole continent. If Macron had all the answers he wouldn't be blushing at a news conference in Buenos Aires looking a complete tit whilst his homeland erupts.

France's main political parties lost so much support that this prancing preening popinjay Macron has found himself in power. Finding himself President but at the head of no party he then, for the subsequent legislative elections, conjured up a brand new party ("La Republique en Marche" whatever that means!) to pack the National Assembly with a bunch of clueless political virgins.

Britain may be in political turmoil, and we'll see how the cards settle once they're tossed in the air, but we take no lessons from the folks across the channel. We'll do things OUR way, thank you very much. Nobody's burning cars in Whitehall or The Mall.

Shakespeare's words in Richard II still ring true:
This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,--
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.

some 5* misremembering on my part there (to put it mildly) - yes Statoil +1992.... and the stations stood out obviously since they'd just been blinged up by the new owners - a lot of my time spent in Ireland until the 21st century involved bars.... Breaking the cargoes at Bantry to smaller tankers makes sense - I'm surprised that there isn't a pipe?
