Mont Doom - Josh 333

Hilarious transcript as per post below. I'm not sure a cartoon could ever be quite as entertaining so I went for more of a portrait.

"C'eci n'est pas une pipe" as Magritte said.

So is this a joke?

I love the 'Wooo' Reminds me of a 5-year-old cousin who tried to convince me his house was haunted many years ago.

Professional Merchants of Doom get paid a lot, and are never held accountable for their actions.

If we all face imminent death, why do they need such large salaries and pension plans?

If the majority of people believed these 'experts', there would be no demand to buy houses with 25 year mortgages.

Pointman, In several other languages, the word "pipe" has ambiguous meanings, but the English are fortunately too poorly "equipped" to make that link:)

It really has reached a point where the general public are laughing at these clowns, I doubt they realize just how da*** stupid they appear to rational people.

It's an absolute crime that these self serving sycophantic pricks have done so much damage to the world, especially those less fortunate, as they flail around searching for even-more funding from the public teat.

Can't wait to watch them shrivel and die as they go through withdrawal, very soon.

In fact it doesn't really matter that deadly diseases are going to kill us all during this century, because new research has found that Society will collapse by 2040 due to catastrophic food shortages.
So we'll probably all die of starvation before the diseases get to us.

Mike Singleton:
It might be sooner than you think. Investments in renewables in the EU have halved since 2012. The Big Money has worked out that there is no future in them. Only thing that seems good is the subsidy for burning wood with 4 for 1 subsidy, but that is mainly private decisions based on 3-4 years payoff.
It only remains to sort out the politicians, like Cameron. Do you notice any change in his behaviour lately e.g. On-shore wind turbines etc?

According to the patriarch of the profits of doom, Paul Ehrlich, we mostly all died before the start of the new millennium anyway. This Montgomery clown is just a wannabe profit. I look forward to the day when professionals put their licenses on the line- tenure, MD, PhD, etc., before they start monetizing scary stories.

'We're all going to die...'

I always thought that along with taxes, that this was a 'given'....

For a portrait, it's an excellent cartoon. I've never seen a photo of Dr Hugh, but I will recognise him instantly when I do.

Your work goes from strength to strength.
