Josh, definitely the best way to deal with this mindless mental incontinence.

Ok, you get 2000 points just for knowing about Gormenghast.

Just love the "Stuff vs Time" hockey stick!

The CRP has been predictable, boring, and plodding. There's nothing new in it, and is mostly just old repackaged issues. They've even gone after the tobacco > cancer > denier link smear.

Josh's cartoons are far more interesting.

Josh, you need to get wider coverage for your excellent cartoons. Keep them coming.

Orders for the 2012 Josh calendar?

Sep 15, 2011 at 8:42 AM | Unregistered Commenterandyscrase

andy: That's what I suggested. Two per page, or enough for two calendars.

Sep 15, 2011 at 8:46 AM | Unregistered CommenterPhillip Bratby

Josh you should really consider a Dilbert type cartoon strip with Theo as the "link" character. Not suggesting daily, but a number of really good ones that people can send or link to or include in their bogs.

Theo is a star in the making...

Sep 15, 2011 at 10:08 AM | Unregistered CommenterJiminy Cricket

actually bogs would also be good, but I did mean blogs...

Many thanks! Nice idea re the calendar PB - might go for a poster to start with.

Josh, I can't find the older cartoons on your site.

Sep 15, 2011 at 12:21 PM | Unregistered CommenterJohn Silver

I may be slightly prejudiced - but I do love the cartoons with Theo in it best!

(especially Nos five and six ... teeheehee!)

John, do you mean like really old ones? They are not linked to a page on my site but nearly all are here on BsihopHill - see link on the sidebar.

Josh,
There they are, but I can't find the one I was looking for.
It was something about PC, looking over someones shoulder.
Poster material, I thought.

I'm not up to speed on Theo's facebook friends, but I do know a penguin there..

Dippy

Great set of cartoons, Josh. Shame the Goracle won't be encouraged to look at them - I can hear a Homer Simpson-ish 'Doh!' in most of them.

John, PC? Can you elaborate and I will hunt for it.

Sep 15, 2011 at 4:43 PM | Registered CommenterJosh

Josh - deepest admiration for all your work and for the way you encompass in a cartoon what even a million words can't express as well. Cartoon No 14 is a case in point:
CAGW is a religion, and algore is its televangelist.

Excellent.

Josh,
I remember now, it was Unit Roots:

Now, that's a poster.

And there is another one on unit roots:

JS - could be! I certainly did some Tshirts for a couple of people using that one.

Your eight hour have the same no-nonsense clarity too. Poster material.

Sep 15, 2011 at 6:20 PM | Unregistered CommenterJohn Silver

This 24 hours has been nothing like I was promised in "State of Fear"...

Sep 15, 2011 at 8:21 PM | Unregistered CommenterJCL

I followed a couple of the links to Josh's cartoons and ended up reading the debate that started on unit roots. 2 1/2 hours into my half hour lunch break I had to stop, but only because I was barely 10% or so through the thread when I checked the scroll bar. I realized I'd still be reading this time next week.

Gotta say that VS is the newest entry into my pantheon of heroes.

Sorry if this is a bit off topic.

Hi Josh,

I've been also wanting to ask where I could find the one where the unit root is about to strike, not the same as at Lucia's. I hadn't found that anywhere since you took it off your page. One of my very favorites.

Great work on the 24 hrs!!!! At the risk of asking an inane question, I don't know the Theo history... Can anyone clue me?

I agree with the comment 'Ok, you get 2000 points just for knowing about Gormenghast'.

It upsets me sometimes when someone asks what my favourite book is, and they've never heard of Gormenghast. Also the BBC mini-series over 10 years ago was incredible. I can't believe the majority of people still don't know about it.
