Jeff Id's critique of BEST

Jeff Id's has published a critique of BEST over at WUWT. This is more in the "pointed questions" style than a debunking or a trashing of the team's work.

I imagine a lot of people will be able to agree that the points are valid.

This is all treading water until the Mann court case, surely? Will this be the next biggest event on the calendar? Can't be long now, surely?

Jeff Id's concerns I share. Too slickeasy. Step adjustments and UHI are suspected of having been manipulated so much it is hugely disappointing that BEST has not concentrated on the rigorous examination by manual station history audit, the QC checks that are second nature to the likes of Anthony Watts, but so passe to the brave new computer-reliant generation.
