Fantastic! I still can't tell Mann from Schmidt. But who's the other one?

Bravo Josh!

I've just written a long wordy piece in the Deltoid chatroom about how Climatography (they've been stripped of the 'ology') will collapse under a tide of public scorn and derision once their dire predictions fail to materialise. (Are we there already? I think a couple more winters like the last one will do the trick...)

I say that the Climatographers are bringing the wider scientific profession into disrepute; I say that the Chief Scientific Advisers to the governments of western democracies are betraying the trust placed in them by their political masters who can hardly be blamed for accepting such advice; I say that it's about time that younger scientists staged an Ataturk-style putsch, driving the 'sultans' from power as punishment for such gross mismanagement.

But Josh's picture saves a thousand words! Brilliant!

@Brent

I agree with you, except unfortunately the vast majority of 'The Public' would not understand that cartoon as no matter what the guy on the Science side of the chasm tells them, or how loudly he shouts, he's too far away and will be drowned out by the continuous whispering from the more-easily-accessible Climatology position.

Josh,

Great stuff.

OOPS, I meant great STUFFING of them what thinks they is right!

But they ain't.

I think that it is coming around to the point where Turkeys and Christmas might be an appropriate cartoon...

Think about it.

The old adage:

"Those who can, do
Those who can't, teach
Those who are totally useless, become climate scientists"

PB - But who's the other one?
I've noticed Josh keeps doing this devilry. Is it Jo Abbess?

How odd, off topic..
Just looked to see if the latest Sunday Booker article had appeared at the Telegraph..

And his 18 month OLD story about sea levels, is showing up as the 4th most viewed article at the Telegraph... see 'Comment most viewed' today

Rise of sea levels is 'the greatest lie ever told'

Is there a sea level story doing the rounds...?

Thanks! I am not sure who the 'other' is in the cartoon either, maybe Dr Lean would be appropriate ;-)

Josh :)

I dont care if the public do not yet appreciate your talents, it was once again very funny within our community ^.^

Brent Hargreaves

I wrote an email direct to Bob Watson this week accusing him of being a liar (adding CO2 to the atmosphere MUST produce warming) I invited him to retract or bring a liable action against me.

Schmidt recently gave an interview in the Houston Chronicle that is worth reading. I look forward to the day when the team is actually interviewed in an aggressive manner and not simply allowed to make their claims without any real challenge.
Here is a list of AGW fails that I think could be the basis of a great interview:
So far, the anthropogenic climate cataclysmic predictions (many predicted in the 1970's thru the 1990's) have flamed out-

-rapidly accelerating temperature rise.
-rapidly accelerating sea level rise.
-rapidly accelerating hurricane numbers.
-rapidly increasing hurricane intensities.
-accelerating coral reef destruction.
-accelerating species extinction.
-glacier loss accelerating in Greenland and Antarctic.
-ocean acidification accelerating.
-floods increasing in frequency and intensity.
-tornadoes increasing in frequency and intensity.
-draughts increasing in frequency and intensity.
-thermohaline circulation stopping.
-deserts expanding.
-tropical forests rapidly vanishing from climate stress.
-overall biosphere health rapidly deteriorating.
