BBC to cover S&TC today

I see that the BBC is going to cover the S&TC hearings today. AFAIK, they didn't attend Oxburgh's appearance the other day, so I wonder what brought this rush of blood to the head.

The link for the Beeb's coverage is here. It's worth glancing at their description of the background to the hearings. Our national broadcaster seems to be completely unaware of why the Science and Technology Committee have decided to interview the principals from the UEA inquiries.

It's probably something to do with the unique way they're funded.

The BBC even has the year of the first email wrong (should be 1996).

LOL at your last sentence.

Perhaps it should be renamed Strictly Parliament, be introduced by Bruce Forsyth and feature John Sergeant and The Right Honourable Ann Widdicombe.

Each performance to be followed by a vote for the winning side with commentary and back biting from professional critics...and endless replays on TV and radio.

But then again........

Seriously this should be gripping stuff. Acton and Davies - the new Chuckle Brothers?

OT but I see Louise Gray has been rolling out Bob Ward for his weekly PR comment with a very strange sentence....

“Nobody thinks climate change is not a problem."

I note that now the emails were 'leaked', not stolen.....wonder why?

Bishop,

Referring to the email deletion request 2 days after David Holland's FOI and the misrepresentation of Muir/Russel and given the indisputable prima facie evidence proving the opposite, wouldn't Muir trigger the possibility of a criminal investigation against himself, if he defends his misrepresentation during the parliamentary interrogation ?

Steve2:

According to our host the BBC will be the best place to watch because they subtitle the coverage so that you know who’s who.

I don't think evidence to the committee is under oath, so I don't think so.

Louise comes up with an interesting new symptom of climate change:

The complainant claimed that it had not been proven that people are drying as a result of climate change.

She also commits the solecism of calling the Rev. Philip Foster, a retired Church of England clergyman, “Philip Foster, a retired Church of England Reverend “.

I would write to the Editor but I suspect Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells will get there first.
