Close down the libraries

Donald Clark is one of the best business bloggers I know. Always thoughtful, always provocative. His thesis today is "Close down the libraries". This might sound daft but it's a well-thought out piece and I think he's probably right, but maybe the time is not quite right. It won't be long though.

When all we have are dim energy-saving light bulbs in our homes, it will be difficult to read anyway... I'd agree that it's not quite the right time to close the libraries, though. Books are expensive, and unless someone is relatively rich and has plenty of shelf space, they are a bit of a luxury.
