Sheryl Crow

Sheryl Crow is going to save the planet on our behalf.

I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting. Now, I don't want to rob any law-abiding American of his or her God-given rights, but I think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required.

The Pandora section of today's Independent points out, courtesy of the New York Post (http://www.nypost.com/seven/04242007/gossip/pagesix/fill_her_tank_pagesix_.htm), that Sheryl's requirements at each venue include "three tractor trailers, four buses and six cars for her bulging entourage", not to mention a substantial and very specific list of alcholic beverages. It seems she doesn't expect frugality to apply equally to all of us or in all areas of life.

The Crow camp explained that this is a very old rider, but did not provide detail about her current requirements. You may or may not regard that as an adequate explanation. Personally, I'd give her the benefit of the doubt many times over, and even put up with a fair amount of hypocrisy, but that has no basis in rational thought.
