@Tomo's LA Times link
The writers idea is that WE make concrete like coral does "by reacting the CO2 in industrial flue stacks with calcium-rich water, resulting in powdered limestone "
... The comments teach us
"Sam Stier is director of the Center for Learning With Nature and teaches science"
"loopy maundering of a science instructor for an art school"
"This art school was founded by the original publisher of the LA Times. They're obligated " to report it.

Its only that nasty Trump man.

@Tomo I think it was Guido last week who said that the UK gov has for some time been partially boycotting the BBC probably been sick of words being edited and twisted.
And today's first 2017 T May interview was done on Sky not on the expected Marr show.

Just starting on R4 Moneybox features a Green-vert (It was live Sat so online here)
"Also, cheaper energy when it rains. A new hydro power scheme in Bethesda in Gwynedd is offering locally generated cut price energy to selected households who are willing to change their energy consumption habits. We hear how it works and whether it and other overseas local energy schemes could be models for more of us paying less for energy. We'll also ask whether even the incentive of lower bills is enough to make us alter our patterns of energy use?"

Yes, I read Peter Taylor's book "Chill" some good few years ago, as they hold a copy in Cockermouth library (they also have the Hockey Stick Illusion and Watermelons, so good for them, save that they have a whole section devoted to climate alarmism - writing books about climate alarmism seems to be very lucrative!).

I probably need to re-read the book since with advancing age the memory isn't what it was. If I remember correctly, however, I did find it interesting and informative.

Tucker Carlson now has the 9pm daily slot on Fox. He is quite impreesive as an interviewer and won't let anyone get away with lies or obfuscation. Won't be long before the sensible avoid his show, leaving the arrogant fools to get their clocks cleaned.

Trump senior advisor KellyAnne Conway went on US TV (NBC) this morning - they cut 9 out of 10 minutes .... and then - they bleat about Trump ignoring the press? - and taking it to Twitter?
