“In order to ‘encourage’ SA’s fossil fuel fleet into action, the grid manager was forced to pay a spot price of $5,077 per MWh…”

At present exchange rates that's ca. £2700 which equates to £2.70 per kWh unit (at a wholesale rate one assumes )

Now the issue is to deflect costs like these to virtue signalling gits on "100% renewable" tariffs

If I could get that the garden would be full of gensets !

So the HO
- Fail to deport people like criminals
- Look way down the list to the people who least need deporting
That looks to me like a deliberate tactic by Labour supporting staff,
.. Breaks before the council elections.... Suspucious

Interesting (and good) to see Stephen McIntyre exposing last week's fake chemical attack in Douma: https://twitter.com/ClimateAudit

The jobsworths at Home Office immigration are out to cause more trouble that they usually do. I have relatives that lived in the UK since the 1950s that've had to fend off officious attempts to deport them regularly over the years. The officials don't bother reading the file - they just take a run at it like demented traffic wardens.

All while waving in bearded children.

Re Windrush rules
They are legal as long as they arrived before 1971, AND they have NOT left for more than a 2 year period.
Hence if HO think you went to live back in the Caribbean they are correct to ask you to prove that you went back for less than 2 years
Most knew the rules so regularised their status easily and cheaply decades ago.

The EU dumps 66.000 trucks of plastic rubbish in the ocean every year

Assuming a 30 ton load per truck - that's 2 million tons of plastic - 5500 tons a day.

Sure smells like BS.

another lame joke :

"the UK's independent advisors, the Committee on Climate Change"

tHickman says this is the key phrase from Perry's speech

"I am also pleased to announce that after the IPCC report later this year,
we will be seeking the advice of the UK's independent advisors, the Committee on Climate Change,
on the implications of the Paris Agreement for the UK's long-term emissions reduction targets."

That's not the same as what he's claiming it means

purportedly "big news" from "Pointless" Pixie Perry

UK's climate minister @claireperrymp says, after IPCC 1.5C report, she will instruct @theCCCuk to examine implications of UK's carbon budgets being tightened to reflect Paris Agreement "net zero emissions" goal so it is in line with PA's 1.5C/"well below" 2C goals

what a joke
