Always puzzled me the logic of fining people for doing the right thing. Not going to encourage the reporting of stowaways by HGV or any other driver. A reward for reporting them would encourage reporting, but might also create an environment where drivers "accidently" pick a few and drive straight to immigration control. But fines are probably the worst option.

Were you invited by the Shah or Ayatollah?
Would a SmartBin reject itself as being non recyclable?
TinyCO2 & Supertroll,
Mock Climate Science has been fooling the world for years, served up by Mock Ambassadors such as Al Gore, Mann and the BBC. Without plastic, none of it would have been possible. Plastic seems more durable than Climate Science.
Tiny back in the 1980s I went to one of the biggest geological meetings (AAPG); that year held in Washington D.C., where we could sign up to attend receptions at several embassies. You could choose from about a dozen. The only one, I remember choosing was the Iranian one. Strange that, very exotic, and where I first saw my second wife. But absolutely not a sniff of a Ferrero Roche.
As to SmartBins™, they have twenty-first century technology, but twentieth century prejudices.
AK, I fear Ferrero Roche are very common these days. Only served in the Russian embasies these days but strangely nobody wants to take one. Hotel Chocolat are far more select.
Mock Turtle soup is also out because of the mock plastic bags they pretend to swallow.
If you want to get serious range out of a battery vehicle, first you need a rocket ......

Twin Japanese robotic rovers land on asteroid Ryugu
Today, Japan made history by landing two rovers onto the surface of an asteroid. The two rovers (named Rover-1A and 1B) fell from their mothership, Hayabusa2, less than 100 meters above diamond-shaped asteroid Ryugu. Now they are hopping across the rocky landscape in an unprecedented feat of exploration. This

Gwen, Work Christmastide? 0h, the horror.
GolfCharlie. Oh it was the time of the Shah and if I recall correctly there were already rumours of his ill health. There seemed to be an awful lot of oil company bigwigs attending that reception, all presumably trying to find an inside track regarding the future of their Iranian oil investments or prospects. I felt right out of place. It's been a long time since I have remembered anything about that visit.
