Turns out electric cars aren't low CO2 after all.

Extract from BBC report about Dame Emma Thompson speaking from a boat illegally parked in London:

Dame Emma, 60, said: "We are here in this little island of sanity and it makes me so happy to be able to join you all and to add my voice to the young people here who have inspired a whole new movement."
She joined the protests in London after flying from Los Angeles on Thursday.

She flew in from L.A. on Thursday? Surely that can’t be true!

Greens damaging the environment again

https://notrickszone.com/2019/04/17/scandal-windpark-company-uses-loudspeaker-of-barking-dogs-to-chase-off-nesting-eagles-blocking-project/

"Apparently the speaker system had been put in place to scare away white tail eagles that might get the idea to nest atop an adjacent nesting mast just meters away. The mast had been provided earlier for the purpose of providing a nesting place for the endangered bird species. White tail eagles nesting there would mean a sure stop of the project, and shooing them away would ensure the go-ahead for the wind project."

"I don't know the rights and wrongs of this,
Apr 19, 2019 at 8:05 AM | Mark Hodgson"

Nor do I! But a few things to be aware of.....

Fresh milk for children and adults has been a northern European thing for a century plus. In the UK, we had trains and the climate to produce this nutritional supplement

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_railway_milk_trains
"By 1923, the year in which almost all the railways in Great Britain were grouped into four national companies, 282 million gallons of milk were being transported annually by rail.[1] Of this traffic the Great Western Railway, serving the rural and highly agricultural West of England and South Wales, had the largest share. It was followed by the LMS, which collected from Cumbria and North Wales; the Southern, deriving the bulk of its traffic from the Somerset and Dorset Railway; and finally the LNER, which served East Anglia.[1]"

"The Milk Marketing Board (MMB) was created in 1933 and in 1942, during World War II, took control of all milk transport. By the late 1960s the MMB had switched entirely to road haulage, and only Express Dairies and Unigate continued to use rail transport."

Milk as a fresh liquid was a rare commodity in many countries/continents eg Africa. British Empire, European colonialism, wars etc created demand.

In the Near/Middle East, (and elsewhere?) recipe books refer to "Nido", a product available in the UK that most White Brits have never heard of!

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nido_(brand)
"Nido is a milk substitute powder and milk powder brand manufactured by Nestlé. It was introduced in 1944. The range claims to offer "nutrition solutions for each stage of childhood"."

I don't know the rights and wrongs of this, but either way, I don't expect to see it reported by the BBC:

"Brussels to Africa: Don’t cry over our spilt milk
West African and EU officials struggle to see eye-to-eye on the influx of European milk."
