My counting of tomorrow's Prime Ministers is now complete and there is only one. It will be a member of The Conservative Party, currently Theresa May. I generally don't mind governments with small working majorities. A majority of one Prime Minister to the BBC's zero is enough to work for me.
Much more entertainingly, I cannot think of anyone from British politics who's presence in government would pi$$ off the BBC more than the DUP will. The DUP may well have their other failings (apart from being 'climate-deniers', lol) but the more I repeat it to myself, the broader I grin when I think about the BBC. In future, given half a chance, if the BBC links to the Green Party on a science and environment article I may take no small amount of pleasure in questioning why the DUP aren't given similar prominence.

Hasty correction: some might say that the DUP is not part of British politics.
True, maybe, but neither is Donald Trump and that didn't prevent him from defeating the BBC's political ambitions.

A Conservative and DUP Coalition does raise many areas of potential conflict. The DUP Wikipedia entry has been/is being amended hastily, and not by favourable contributors. Cameron was obstructed by the Clegg and the Liberals, who will derail May (?) from the DUP?
Labour MPs from the good old New Labour era are now stuffed. They cannot speak out against Corbyn, without Momentum instigating deselection. They kept their heads down hoping for a Labour defeat of sufficient size that Corbyn might resign. Momentum will now be targeting school, college and university campuses, and vacating the centre ground of UK politics. The Labour Party is now a coalition, with many areas of suppressed conflict.

May took Conservatives from a 20 point lead to neck and neck with a worse Labour leader than Foot. She also saw her approval rating plunge from >50% to negative during campaign.
She & Nick Timothy rewrote the manifesto and forbade Boris, JRM and all others from campaigning - all about her when she is a cold, authoritarian dictator with no personality and nothing to like.
She now has little credibility and in coalition with DUP whose manifesto is more Tory than her's:

I would have voted for anyone else, but it was not my call. (I also vote for anyone else than my current useless Tory constituency incumbent, but then that's my right).

No, there is ONE real world and a million false narratives of what it is.
We need to be careful of narratives moving our baseline .
Mays narrative that 40% wouldn't vote for Cirbyn is a false narrative.
But let's rebase ours to one year ago.
LibMobs view after the referendum was that cos the Cons hadnt had a new elethen they didn't have a mabdste to implement Brexit.
Imagine if we had had election then straight after Cameron resigned. If the BrexitTory had then won the same number of seats May just won, we would have said that's enough she does have a mandate cos we would have expected much of the 48% including some Remain Tories to have not voted for her.
Yet when she went for the reframing that ' the vast majority support My version of Brexit' she moved our expectations.
For the Tories not to make it to 2022 quite a few things would still have to go wrong
And they will be strengthened by boundary changes.
Yes Labour could try general strikes but they'd alienate their own voters.
The ideal would be for Cons to stop trying to please socialists.

In theory at least Sinn fein MPs carry out the constituency role, use Parliament's facilities and talk to ministers.
What they refuse to do is sit in the house, , vote, sit on committees or otherwise participate in Parliamentary business

If you don't take the oath of allegiance you are not legally recognised as an MP and do not get paid a salary.
You do get some privileges and allowances.

It is useful to note that that statement is very rarely - if ever ( in my limited experience) quoted by critics this side of the Irish Sea. However... it also seems to be 10+ years old... SF would do themselves a great favour if they reviewed the situation scrupulously annually - they must keep accounts - why not simply publish and deny those who seek to cast aspersions a stick to hit them with?

I lived in London for a while, and while I loved it in many ways, it was noticeable that a lot of the people were selfish, self-righteous leftists. The sort of people who didn’t really give a toss about Muslims killing people as long as they avoided it. Laughing and joking at a nearby pub like Owen Jones and his mates because there wasn’t much chance of them getting killed now.
There are 3 types of Londoners:
1) the extremely wealthy who don’t actually care whether the UK leaves the EU or not.
2) the people who can’t afford to live in London but still do because everyone else pays for it
3) people like most commenters here.
1 and 3 did not vote for Abbott, and 2 is a lost cause anyway.

If I had a constituency candidate as deluded and useless as Abbott I would not vote for her even if I supported her party, but then that's my right. Done it before and informed constituency (in advance) why.

Labour can celebrate that they have Corbyn, Abbott and Thornberry for a few more years.
