Mike Hulme has a new paper where he ventures the idea that cutting CO2 could be sold to the wider public and business world as a virtue. Hmm ideed!

As the BBC and its scientivists continue to push the pseudo-science, many countries around the world will continue to emit CO2 in ever greater amounts.

Mike Hulme's paper makes the extraordinary claim about a species of social primates that evolved during an Ice Age and then suffered a more recent Little Ice Age: "A changing climate is a condition of modernity, but a condition which modernity seems uncomfortable with." Then he suggests promoting a fraud he is among the most qualified men to fully comprehend as a fraud, using the religious concept of virtue as propaganda. There's no blade in the input data of the latest hockey stick, Dr. Hulme, the plot that is used to support your claim that climate change is novel.
When the People's Encyclopaedia of Climate Scares is eventually compiled, surely Josh's artwork will illuminate the biggest section - the one covering the past few decades, the most disgraceful Scare of them all.

There is no point complaining about "BBC bias". These are people who know little to nothing about the issues and - like many such people- assume there is little or nothing to know.
Why don't you (Bish) suggest that a briefing paper should be prepared - in Janet & John language - by people with sufficient qualifications to impress even the BAs at the Beeb setting out:
(1) what is "settled" and why;
(2) what is disputed and why, and what the respective arguments are;
(3) what is largely agreed up to, but not beyond, a point: what that point is, and why.
I would suggest large fonts and lots of pretty pictures, and that it be written in a manner which a 12 year old could understand. And if the authors could include some of the more liberal warm it's, then so much the better.
And it should be presented as publicly as possible - ideally by a friendly MP - so that they will actually have to read it and respond to it.

Just spotted the BBC BUNK...R. Nice one. Josh's cartoons are getting to be like Wallace and Gromit, where you have to look at them several times to get all the jokes.
I should add that any such submission should not hector, should not "told you so", should not "how dare you". The tone should be helpful - clarifying information on the assumption that much of it will be new to whoever reads it.
(You do not persuade people by insulting them. You do not persuade people by threatening them (abolish the BBC etc). Zealot threats to imprison "deniers" have persuaded 0% of people to subscribe to AGW (according to my very sophisticated survey the details of which are, unfortunately, confidential) - the same goes for sceptic threats.)
If you don't like BBC bias don't pay the licence fee.

The BBC is the propaganda arm of the British establishment. Not the government, but those people who do not change when governments change. There is no happenstance in their position on anything. It is useless to complain, they have control of the procedure and of the body which is tasked with ensuring they stick to the charter. You can't do anything but realise what's going on and switch them off.

Just caught the back end of radio 4's 'points of view' which was a carefully orchestrated objection to anyone with a sceptical bias being allowed any airtime.

Carbon trading could be worth twice that of oil in next decade
The carbon market could become double the size of the vast oil market, according to the new breed of City players who trade greenhouse gas emissions through the EU's emissions trading scheme.
The ETS market may see $3tn (£1.8tn) worth of transactions a year in the next decade or two, according to Andrew Ager, head of emissions trading at Bache Commodities in London, with it even being used as a hedge against falling equities or rising inflation. "It is still a relatively new industry with annual trades of around €300bn every year. But this could grow to around $3tn compared to the $1.5tn market there is for oil," says Ager, who used to be a foreign currencies trader.
The speed of that growth will depend on whether the Copenhagen summit gives a go-ahead for a low-carbon economy, but Ager says whatever happens schemes such as the ETS will expand around the globe.
