I'm blocked from Lucia's at home in Thailand but I can access it from work offshore Mozambique.

Heh. Reminds me of the Nimbin Festival in Australia in 1973 - the first great counter-culture event here. Being in the sub-tropics, it rained. My friend Martin started the Hari-Gumboots movement, which led a group of faithful, chanting followers to the pub each day, to the disgust of the hippies.

There can often be certain visual markers, plainly visible from afar. They’re mainly connected with a dysfunctional dress sense. They tend to wear an extra or curious item of clothing which makes them look silly but you just know, they absolutely think it somehow makes them chic, exotic or at least different. Funny thing is I saw all the talk about being blocked at her site and had never had any trouble until I clicked on a link from another blog to something at her site.

Sorry you got blocked. Unfortunately, I can't just lift the software because some things just hammer my site and make it crash. Unfortunately, owing to presenting shared IP addresses, people in the UK are very likely to be blocked. It's worth recording my email and emailing me so I can unblock and also find out if a 'rule' I'm using to block things is unduly harsh. (I need to verify I haven't screwed up the unblock page to. I'll put checking on my todo list for Tueday. It's a holiday here.)

I've actually managed to get the hammering under control-- but I do suspect some 'rules' that block people are too harsh. Unfortunately there is no way for me to know for sure unless people whose names I recognize email me.
