Take it easy for a bit. We've plenty to be going on with.

Get well soon, take it easy - and come back re-invigorated.
You've already been missed.

Jul 6, 2011 at 10:50 PM | Unregistered Commentermatthu

Missing you already! The considerate, polite and always interesting blog and, I may add, the same for your communicants. To my wife's dismay I am now reading the HSI for the third (possibly fourth) time and annotating for use as the basis for a lecture. It is the best detective story I have ever read. Get well soon.

Make sure you fully recover and come back stronger than ever. Best wishes.

I don’t claim to be an expert. I never did. I simply find that a lot of these claims that experts are making are absurd. Not that I know better, but I know a few things. My objections to the global warming propaganda are not so much over the technical facts, about which I do not know much, but it’s rather against the way those people behave and the kind of intolerance to criticism that a lot of them have. I think that’s what upsets me.

You know who said this?

Freeman Dyson.

Just to cheer you up have a look at this from The Daily Nasty:-

Great piece from Booker.

Great to see Zed'sDeadHead getting a well deserved drubbing in comments.

Oh dear - just when this comes up

Get well very soon, Bish.

Hope you feel better today. Don't worry about the slow blogging, plenty of stuff out there to keep me at least occupied, e.g. SM latest call for MM to issue a retraction for his 2008 paper. http://climateaudit.org/2011/07/06/dirty-laundry-ii-contaminated-sediments/ - also discussed over at WUWT.

Ray Tomes also has a guest post at Tallbloke's - http://tallbloke.wordpress.com/2011/07/05/ray-tomes-carbon-14-and-reconstructing-solar-activity-over-the-last-11000-years/

At first glance there seems to be a reasonable correlation with sunspot numbers and the GISP ice core data - http://jonova.s3.amazonaws.com/graphs/lappi/gisp-last-10000-new.png - but too busy today to give it some scrutiny.

Get well soon, not missing much on the weather front anyway, where has the summer gone, where has the drought gone.

Jul 7, 2011 at 8:58 AM | Unregistered CommenterBreath of Fresh Air

Please consider this a 'Get well soon' card.
Warmest regards.

Try a walk round the lake, Your Grace, or a stroll in the hills.
I always find such things work wonders.
Look after yourself.

"I don’t claim to be an expert. I never did. I simply find that a lot of these claims that experts are making are absurd."

A great quote from Dyson.

Actually, I guess everyone would agree that Barristers, with their fine education, great qualifications and unquestionable legal experience are the very models of "experts".

But in a recent shock finding, 50% of expert legal opinions given in Court have been found to be wrong!

Who'd have thought it. But cheer up, these "experts" carry on making a good 400 Guineas an hour (plus disbursements), right or wrong!

A bit like Climate "Scientists". But perhaps the Silks are without as much malice aforethought.

Jul 7, 2011 at 12:57 PM | Unregistered CommenterMartin Brumby

Take it easy. You do an important job but we will survive for a few days without you. Look forward to your return.

Hope you were not bumped into by warmists, bearing a bulgarian brolly

Jul 7, 2011 at 2:23 PM | Unregistered Commentergolf charley

Get well soon. Perhaps on of these would help reduce your temperature.

After 60 years taking it as a preventative (without the honey and water!!!!) the theory has not been proven!
As cure, the same applies but by hell, you sure feel better :-)

Get well Bish, Don't have time to bleed!
