Green giants: the eco power list
Giants? Hmmm... me thinks not. It looks more like a guest list to an ever so trendy liberal Guardian dinner party, in an ever so fashionable part of London.
I checked out the author Lucy Siegle. If there is anything to show what is wrong with fashionable greenism in the media it is this lady. She bandies the word "ethical" around like confetti. In her world it is ethical for to spend GBP 45,000 on wedding. In fact it is becoming quite a status symbol apparently. Jolly hockey sticks.
These people haven't the slightest clue about "ethics". In her world moral superiority can be bought at any price. Pay your penitence and you can live an upper middle class life guilt free.
And the reason for the post? Simply that the Guardian is 10% down on circulation based on this time last year. Times is 14% down. Telegraph 10%
The Guardian is so disconnected from its roots...
When will one paper break ranks and say "bulls*ht!"?

But that's just the cat litter tray lining version. Meanwhile, they have attracted five billion high-spending internet subscribers from all over the anglosphere. At least, I think they have. I mean that must be true, surely? The NYT did it -- so it has to be the way of the future.

It's true. I have never seen it. And from the sound of it, I may be the only one in the world to have never seen it. What am I not watching to have missed it? Could be nightly network news, BBC World News Amerika, and Turner Classic Movies isn't enough, oh and the Canadian "How its' Made" series. Mr. T seems not to have found his way to any of these. We spend most of our time reading trying our very hardest to catch up with the educations of the people who comment here for example.
I'd assumed Josh a resident of UK so Mr. T. must be over there as well.
And thanks for the link, now that I've seen it I can even better appreciate Josh 67.

Welcome to whose US? Don't you find gaps in your comprehension of US culture? For example, I have no idea where the "My bad" phrase came from. I've also missed decades of popular music.
If you haven't seen it, there is an excellent comment from Jeremy on the Trenbarth absence of gratitude thread at CA. Maybe Jeremy should be invited to guest post here an expanded version. The cult of which he wrote was a religious cult, but he seemed able to discuss it quite benignly. Steve M. cut part of it in accordance with his absolute prohibition of religious discussion.
