McIntyre in Die Weltwoche

Steve M has been interviewed by Swiss newspaper, Die Weltwoche. A translation has been posted at GWPF.

From GWPF...."My guess is that the collection of emails was prepared in the aftermath of that publicity. Just as a strange coincidence: My FOI request was turned down on November 13th, and the last email in the list was from November 12th. And the document with the released emails was named FOIA.Zip."

It was reported early in the investigation by some source (can't remember exactly) that the email file was on a public drive at UEA, and by implication someone had put them there deliberately. SM's answer above seems to add some weight to this theory as the dates are surely more than coincidental. I'm also assured by our IT boffins at work that this kind of network access activity is easily traceable within minutes. I'm going to hazard a guess that Inspector Knacker has identified the culpritt and as with the three reviews, the evidence will be quietly shelved to protect UEA's reputation (whats left of it anyway !! ). Yet more damage control.

It would be interesting to find out if any CRU scientists, researchers or IT people have left (voluntarily or otherwise) this year ??

Funny how matter of fact and convincing Steve is in this interview. I hope Lonnie gives it a look.

Can anyone explain why coloring mice with a felt tip pen, killing people with smallpox, or mercury compounds, are allowed to reflect badly on universities, but the CRU goings on a relentless covered up by all concerned?

Is it simply the contrast between science and beliefs?

OT: Here's a climate science prediction based on this recent post

....the Bishop will be less than completely convinced by Real Climate's critical thinking skills.
